We strive to protect our environment by recycling our waste. We recycle both cardboard and plastic. We bale it then send it to recycling centers in our area. We recycle more than 30 tons of plastic and cardboard every year.

The Freshco Waste Water Treatment Center [WWTC] was constructed to treat 100% of the process waste water that is generated by our operations. Through the WWTC treatment process the water is pretreated then released to our areas main waste water treatment facility.

In 2007, 2008, 2009 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014,2015,2016,2017,2018,2019 & 2020, The Fort Pierce Utilities Authority awarded Freshco the “Environmental Stewardship Award” in recognition of Excellence in Environmental Stewardship for Implementing Water Conservation and Pollution Controls.

In 2010 Freshco was recognized by the Florida Pollution Prevention Round Table Inc. for our achievements in pollution prevention.
